This special issue of the Journal of Universal Computer Science
(J.UCS) contains a selection of articles presented at the Fourth
International Conference on Computability and Complexity in Analysis
(CCA), held in Siena, Italy, June 16-18, 2007. This conference is the
fourteenth event in the series of CCA annual meetings; seventy-four
participants attended this years meeting and twenty-seven talks were
presented. The CCA conference series promotes the study and
advancement of the theory of computability and complexity over
real-valued data and its application.
We thank the authors for their contributions to this special issue and
the referees for their thorough and diligent work. Finally, we would
like to thank Professor Andrea Sorbi of the University of Siena for
help in organizing the conference and Professor Hermann Maurer, the
managing editor of J.UCS, for his support.
