Curriculum Vitae:

Rainer Steinwandt received his diploma (Dipl.-Inform.) and Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in computer science from the Universitaet Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1998 and 2000, respectively. Thereafter he was with the Institute for Algorithms and Cognitive Systems at the Universitaet Karlsruhe, Germany. In 2005 he joined Florida Atlantic University, USA, as Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Since 2006 he also serves as Associate Director of the Center for Cryptology and Information Security at Florida Atlantic University.

He is co-founding and co-managing editor of Walter de Gruyter's Journal of Mathematical Cryptology (starting in 2007) and was co-guest editor of a special issue on Mathematical Techniques in Cryptology of the Springer journal Applicable Algebra in Engineering, Communication and Computing.
