Curriculum Vitae:

Nadim Obeid holds a Maitrise (French B.Sc) in Mathematics (Lebanese University, 1979) and a Maitrise (French B.Sc) in Business Administration (Lebanese University, 1980). He also holds A Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Programming and Microprocessor applications (Essex University, 1982), M.Sc in Computer Studies (Essex University, 1983) and a Ph.D in Computer Science (Essex University, 1987). In 1986, he joined the EUROTRA project as a Senior Research Officer and then in 1987, he took the post of a Lecturer in the department of Computer Science at Essex University. He took a leave of absence (without salary) from Essex University, in 1996, and became an associate professor at Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Jordan where he was promoted in 2002 to a professor. In 2004, he joined, as a professor, King Abdullah II School for Information Technology at the University of Jordan. Currently he is the dean of King Abdullah II School for information technology.

Nadim Obeid has served in the program committee of many international conferences. He has also served on many national and regional committees. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers: 27 are in journals (many of which are in top or leading international journals), 7 are chapters in edited books and more than 37 are in international conferences proceedings. More than 70% of his work is single authored. He is the author of Winner of the Best Paper of the Year Award, for two consecutive years, in the international journal of COMADEM 2001 and COMADEM 2002.
