Curriculum Vitae: Riccardo Martoglia received his Laurea Degree (cum Laude) and his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He is currently an assistant professor in the FIM Department of the same university. e teaches a number of subjects in the area of Databases, Information Systems, Information Retrieval and Semantic Web. His research themes are hot topics in the above mentioned fields fields, in particular his work concerns (or has concerned) the study of new methodologies for managing, storing and querying large amounts of non-conventional information, including textual data, XML data, graph data and data streams coming from RFID and/or mobile devices. He has also worked on innovative techniques for the efficient and effective search in large and distributed (P2P) data repositories, for the integration and the customizable fruition of informative distributed resources, including techniques for the semantically approximate and/or personalized retrieval of information. All the proposed techniques have been always experimentally tested and validated in a large number of complex application and experimental scenarios, from Intelligent Transport Systems to Example-based Machine Translation, from actual PDMSs to digital libraries.
