Abstract: Agile software engineering methods provide a mean for flexible software development. However, these agile methods oppose direct steering and control as well as streamlining for process efficiency. In this contribution such agile processes of software engineering are analysed by applying a method known for its ability to encompass knowledge intensive business processes: the KMDL(r) (Knowledge Modeling and Description Language). Based on models created, potentials and actions leading towards improvements are derived. Further the KMDL(r) method as well as a case study of its application is introduced.
