Curriculum Vitae:

Studies in communication engineering and economics at Graz University of Technology; from 1997 till 2001 assistant lecturer at the Institute of Information Systems and Computer Media (IICM) at Graz University of Technology, lectures in Knowledge Processing; Since 2000 he is founder and head of Gütl IT Research & Consulting and co-founder and CFO of Infodelio Information Systems; 2002 Ph.D. in computer science; since 2003 lecturer for “Information Systems 2” and “Information Search and Retrieval”.

He has been referee for EU projects and EU project proposals for several times; he is peer reviewer for various Conferences and Journals; supervising and co-supervising of projects und seminars, diploma theses as well as doctoral theses at Graz University of Technology, Austria, and at Curtin University, Western Australia; since 2003 project manager for the research project “Adaptive E-Learning with Eye-Tracking” (AdeLE)” at the IICM. In 2004 research visitor at Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Western Australia. Since 2005 project leader of MISTRAL (Measurable intelligent and reliable semantic extraction and retrieval of multimedia data), funded by the Austrian Government.
