Curriculum Vitae:
Born in Grenoble, France, in 1961. Engineering degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics in 1983, PhD degree in 1985, both from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, France. Researcher with the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) since 1986. Posted to LIP laboratory (Lyon), where he has been managing the "Silico-Algorithms and Computer Arithmetic" group since 1989 Author of two books and over 40 scientific contributions, referee for a number of journals. Member of the program committee of several international conferences. General chairman of the 10th IEEE Symposium on Computer Arithmetic (ARITH10, Grenoble, France, June 1991). Co-program chairman of the 13th IEEE Symposium on Computer Arithmetic (ARITH13, Asilomar, USA, July 1997). Guest editor of a special issue of JUCS (Vol. 1, No 7). Manager of a working group on arithmetic and accuracy in France. Awards: "Medaille de Bronze du CNRS" in 1990 and "2nd Seymour Cray France Award" in 1991.
