Curriculum Vitae:

Dr. Kwok-Yan Lam holds a professorship at the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He was previously an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing, National University of Singapore. He founded the Centre for Systems Security, NUS in 1997; and is currently the principle investigator of the multi-million dollar NSTB Strategic Research Programme on Computer Security.

Dr. Lam was a visiting scientist at the European Institute for System Security, Karlsruhe, Germany in 1991 and 1992; and was an invited scientist at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Cambridge University. He has been a contributing editor of the Journal of Computer and Communications Security Review, Cambridge (UK) since 1992. Dr. Lam received the Education Foundation Award from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in recognition of his R&D achievement in information security in Singapore. Dr. Lam finished his doctorate degree in the Cambridge University, and obtained his B.Sc. (First Class Honours) from the University of London. He has been holding an adjunct position at the HKUST for the past few years.
