Curriculum Vitae:

Zahran Halim has served in academia from 1979 to 1997. He has held academic positions at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (Penang, Malaysia), Waikato University (Hamilton, New Zealand) and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Kuching, Malaysia). He held the position of Professor of Computer Science while at the same time serving as Dean of the Faculty of IT and Director of Institute of Software Techology at the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. He has been a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia since 1999.

Zahran Halim has led research projects in areas including Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering and Hypermedia applications. His industry experience includes consultant positions in IT applications for government and private organisations. He has also served as the CEO of an IT company in Malaysia.

Currently Zahran Halim is running own company (Halim Hoskin Hollander & Associates) offering consultancy and R&D services in IT.
