Curriculum Vitae:
Hans Guesgen is an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department of the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He holds a diploma in computer science of the University of Bonn, a doctorate in computer Science of the University of Kaiserslautern, and a higher doctorate (Habilitation) in computer science of the University of Hamburg, Germany. He worked as a research scientist at the German National Research Center of Computer Science (GMD) at Sankt Augustin from 1983 to 1992. During this period he had a one-year post-doctoral fellowship with the International Computer Science Institute at Berkeley, California. His list of publications includes 3 books, various special issues of journals, and over 80 refereed publications in journals, conference proceedings, and workshop notes.
