  • PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in Computer Science with “summa cum laude”, University of Hagen, Germany, 1999, with a thesis on “Recursive and computable operations over topological structures”, supervised by Klaus Weihrauch.
  • Diploma in Computer Science with Mathematics as secondary subject “with distinction”, University of Hagen, Germany, 1993.
  • Additional studies of Mathematics, Philosophy and Psychology at the universities of Hagen and Bonn, Germany from 1989 until 1993.
